The Art of Communication:
Voice and Expression for People With Parkinson’s
BE HEARD! Voice for Parkinson’s is a method developed by KT Warren to help train and re-train the muscles and organization used in healthy, clear communication. Drawing on her own background of theatrical training as well as a history of teaching Yoga for Parkinson’s (and learning directly from her own father, who has Parkinson’s Disease), KT created a “Vocal Yoga” flow designed to be fun and community-oriented for individuals who are losing their connection to speech.
“Since a lot of people with Parkinson’s can become isolated, and left out of conversation, it’s imperative that people learn the steps to making themselves heard and seen. That way, they can stay active participants in their lives and in their communities.” – KT Warren
The class is designed for PWP (People with Parkinson’s) but is useful for anyone who wants to strengthen mindful, holistic communication skills, or just have a little fun!
Private lessons are also available, even over Skype if we are not in the same area.
